Health and Climate Action for
Equitable Heat-Resilient Futures

Cambridge Sustainable Design Group (CSDG) is an interdisciplinary research group based at the University of Cambridge, led by Professor Ronita Bardhan. The group investigates how buildings, cities and infrastructure shape health, equity, energy use and climate resilience. Combining expertise in design, engineering, data science and public health, CSDG develops evidence-based solutions for healthy, low-carbon and climate-resilient living environments, with a particular focus on vulnerable communities and resource-constrained settings worldwide.

The Climate and Health Group at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is an interdisciplinary group interested in the health impacts associated with climate variability and climate change. The group is at the forefront of evidence generation on the health impacts associated with key climate hazards, the actions needed to protect UK public health and the opportunities for improving global health of policies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The group hosts the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit on Climate Change and Health Security in partnership with the UK Health Security Agency, University College London and the Met Office.
